About this property
COMO’s Paro property stands in pine woods on the hillside above the valley floor, a few minutes up from the town and looking down the length of the valley. It is one of two COMO houses in Bhutan — the other is at Punakha — and the pair are often booked together as a western Bhutan itinerary.
This is international-standard comfort in a Bhutanese frame: small by the measure of global resorts, but run to a brand standard that travels, and a common choice for guests who want the country’s rougher edges smoothed. Taktsang is a short drive north, so many itineraries put a night here on either side of the climb.
Why we like it
- On a wooded hillside above Paro town
- A short drive from the Taktsang (Tiger's Nest) trailhead
- One of two COMO properties in Bhutan, with COMO Uma Punakha
